Public Education and Awareness Campaigns
The Institute’s work is not just about answering questions, but also raising awareness. To that end, we focus a fair amount of our time and effort on programs designed to elevate the public consciousness and spur collective action. Our Dialogue Series events provide an opportunity for folks from all backgrounds to come together around research and have open, honest dialogue about solutions. Less formal are our Information Workshops, often presented in partnership with various community groups, raise awareness through the arts, entertainment, and fellowship. Each year, business, civic, and academic leaders, volunteers, and residents meet at the Institute’s conference, where a variety of activities challenge their perspective and build lasting networks for social change. Finally, the IUPR website and newsletter are always available as an information resource. Our vast collection of research and media documents, coupled with the dfwIDEA community archives, is a rich source of insight to socially conscious individuals.
